Dynamic Movement Orthoses Accredited Practitioner Course
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN - Level 1 Dynamic Lycra Orthosis workshop (1 day).
Understand the history of Dynamic Lycra Orthoses (DLO)
- Revise the Pathophysiology of Cerebral Palsy & Stroke and Tone & Spasticity
- Participants will understand the various types of DLO design and indications for their client use.
- Participants will gain a knowledge of sensory, neurological, and biomechanical mechanisms underlying the therapeutic use of DLO.
- Participants will gain knowledge of the combined use of different dynamic orthotic systems to improve functional motor control.
- Participants will view one or two patient demonstrations to aid them in their assessments (own arrangement).
- Participants will learn how to measure DLO for suits, leggings socks and gloves.
- Participants will receive a certificate of attendance and certification numbers.
The Dynamic Lycra Orthosis event will cover every aspect of measuring and fitting our revolutionary Dynamic Lycra Orthosis, plus you'll be able to benefit from expert advice from the Dynamic Lycra team.
Every clinical delegate will be presented with an Dynamic Lycra Orthoses Accredited Practitioner certificate. This course has been accredited by the British Association Prosthetists & Orthotists (BAPO)
